PRAGMATIC CLARITY

Common Questions

Straightforward answers designed for busy clinical practitioners. Explore our founding development timeline, flexible engagement pathways, and academic governance expectations.

Can I participate while maintaining my active clinical practice?

Yes. Landmark University's faculty appointments are engineered around the realities of active clinical medicine. Mentorship, clinical precepting, and didactic advisory roles offer flexible time commitments. Scheduling adapts to your existing patient and operating schedules.

What is LUHS's current founding stage and hiring status?

Landmark University of Health Sciences is currently in its preparatory founding and accreditation development phase. Submitting an interest form registers your credentials with the Academic Council and LUHS Board, allowing you to contribute to curriculum development now and potentially receive early consideration for formal faculty appointments as institutional milestones are achieved.

What qualifications are required to serve as a mentor or instructor?

We evaluate clinicians across diverse backgrounds. Clinical educators generally require an unencumbered license and board certification or terminal degree in their respective field (PT, OT, MD, DO, DNP, PA-C, PharmD, PhD). Prior formal academic teaching experience is welcomed but not mandatory: demonstrated mentorship aptitude and clinical mastery are our primary criteria.

How are compensation and honoraria structured for faculty roles?

Compensation models vary by scope of involvement. Foundational advisory roles offer competitive fractional stipends and honoraria (once LUHS is fully funded), while structured clinical mentorship and appointed professorships carry formal faculty compensation packages.

What happens after I submit a Faculty Interest Form?

The LUHS Administration reviews all submissions on a rolling basis. A member of the academic leadership team will reach out for an introductory 20-minute consultation to discuss your specific disciplinary interests, clinical background, and ideal level of involvement with zero obligation.

INSTITUTIONAL POLICY

Equal Opportunity

LUHS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
